Community funded Shamatha (resting in calm) Meditation Program for Marginalized People
I’m raising $1,100 to offer a free weekly shamatha meditation program for marginalized people. In these politically and ecologically challenging times, shamatha — resting in calm — meditation offers a steady inner refuge.
Your support — whether financial or through prayer— sustains this work. Thank you.
This meditation course cultivates presence, groundedness, and the capacity to stay with reality without denial, collapse, or aggression. This practice is especially supportive for those directly under threat in these times, as well as for those holding space for them.
Your support will keep this offering financially free for participants and cover my time, along with the basic tools needed to offer the program, including technology and outreach. Any amount is welcome. I’m deeply grateful for your consideration and generosity, and for your belief in the power of shamatha - quiet, sustained presence - as a form of collective care and resistance.
Note: Donations are not tax-deductible at this time, but nonprofit status is planned. Thank you for helping make this program possible
